Another month has passed and I literary have no idea how June is over! Time just flew right in front of me! So, here is another monthly rewind.
This recap is for me to share everyting that has happened but first I need to remember myselfš. These posts are so helpful for me as well. I find it a bit weird that I forget important things that have happened. Looking at pictures brings back so many memories.
Sometimes I really question how am I able to forget such milestones! Do you get those feelings?
Anyhow, here is my monthly recap.
Huge News in June
I am glad to announce a couple of amazing milestones for the blog.
- During the month of June, on the 30th to be exact, we got accepted to Google AdSense which is huge for the blog. It might not be for some but for us at daramiblog this is exciting! One step at a time as they say!
- My first interview is live, a collaboration with a fellow blogger. This is my first time hosting someone else and I canāt be happier with the result. You check the post here.
Mental health
Besides the current pandemic I am also dealing with some personal stuff regarding my family and things have been tough to say the least. I will spare you the details but there are a few things I have learnt from it. Here are some advice from me to you.
- Take care of yourself.
- Speak your truth.
- Accept that peopleās character will not change but do not change yourself just to fit someone elseās idea of you.
- Just because you are related doesnāt mean you have to get along.
- Stay away if this is how you find peace.
- Always set boundries no matter what.
- Respect yourself first.
- Learn how to say NO.
I have to admit that going to the beach and having a supportive partner has been extremely helpful.
Courses Iāve done
Disclosure: There may be affiliate links involved and if you make a purchase I receive a small commission at NO extra cost to you. Nevertheless, I only promote products and services I truly believe in. Daramiblog offers information that is designed for educational purposes only. Here you can read my full disclosure
As you know by now, learning new things and educating myself on different matters is something that fuels my existence. It is only normal to share those amazing things with you. Here are the courses I have done and a bit of info about them!
Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues on LinkedIn
Considering what is happening lately with the protests around the world, one very important step for all to take is to acknowledge our privilege and engage with minorities about what they have been going through!
Donāt get me wrong, police brutality MUST BE ERADICATED and those officers MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for their actions.
What I am saying is that change starts with US. We, as a community need to talk about those issues even if we might feel uncomfortable or not know what to say or do!
I was and still am in this category but I am willing to Act, Learn, Listen, and Yield. Here is an idea what you might consider doing as a first step!
I recently did a course called āCommunicating about Culturally Sensitive Issuesā by Professor Daisy Lovelace where she mentions plenty of useful tips that can be applied in community settings!
So, if you want to help but donāt know where to start, then it is a good idea to know how to address culturally sensitive issues! Check out this course!
I also interviewed a fellow blogger about racism, which was a first for me. I am so happy how everything came together. Donāt be shy you can check it out here.
Affiliate Marketing Foundations on LinkedIn
This course is a bit old, published in 2014 and to be honest I was a bit skeptical about it. I mean how come it hasnāt been updated or there isnāt a newer course about affiliate marketing? Nevertheless, I gave it a shot and I must say that this beginner course puts things into perspective.
If you are new to blogging or simply want to learn how to become an affiliate marketer; then this course will definitely help you. Everything is explained in detail and the instructor uses simple language which is great for a non-tech savvy like me.
Social Brilliant on Teachable
This course is totally FREE (by Edgar University) and there is the occasional pitch sale for their online product MeetEdgar but overall the amount of info regarding social media is amazing! Considering that they advertise the total value of the course to be $199 getting it for FREE is a total steal.
A few things they cover are:
- How many times a day should You post on social media?
- What exactly should You say on social media?
- How many social networks do You need to be active on?
- What kind of posts actually get attention and shares?
- How exactly do You get āengagementļæ½? on your social accounts?
Awesome pics from June (monthly rewind style)
Recipes Iāve been mastering
Lately, I have been obsessed with peinirlies or otherwise known as pizza-boats. They are Turkish delicacy which can be found all over Greece as well. You can check a pic below and the full recipe here. If are a more of a video fan you also watch my video here and donāt forget to subscribe!
Another one of my favorites is tuna stuffed tomatoes. It is perfect on a hot summer day. Here in Greece temperatures have been high and eating something light has been a must.

Things Iāve kept up with
If you read my previous monthly rewind you must know a thing or two about my June goals. If not donāt sweat it here you can check them out!
I am proud to announce that I stick to my workout routine and have increased it to 45 min per day. I do low intensity but I do sweat a lot and feel my body stronger! Canāt say that there is a huge visual difference, there is some but hey Iāve got a lot of ground to coverš.
To be honest sharing with you my journey has made me more serious about it!
What Iām looking forward to
Learning will always be my number one no matter what!
Those hot summer days make me dream of traveling but I am still very much aware of the danger, so day trips to the nearest beaches will most likely be the itinerary for summer 2020.
How was your June? What are you looking forward to in July? Let me know in the comments below.
